Dan McCormack

Dan is our Director and oversees all aspects of camp life. Before joining Winaukee, Dan had been a director at residential camps in both New York and Maine. Apart from camping, Dan had a 10 year career in sports marketing and business development including working for IMG, KPMG and Ernst & Young in both London and New York City. A rugby enthusiast from an early age, Dan brought his passion for the sport to Hofstra University where he was the head coach of their rugby team. He is a “cradle to the grave” Celtic Football Club supporter and will eagerly discuss with any camper why they are the greatest sports team on the planet!

Brooke McCormack

Brooke is the Mainland Director. She is an experienced and comforting presence for mainland families who reach out to her regarding their son during the summer and in the off-season.

Since 1995, Brooke has been a camper, counselor, group leader, program director and residential life director — camp is in her blood! She worked at two camps prior to joining Winaukee and never lost sight of the fact that boys come to camp to have fun! She is rarely without a smile, a joke or a comforting hug for any and all mainland campers!

Brooke was previously an Elementary School teacher and Literary Specialist in New York, London and Philadelphia and has spent her life dedicated to helping kids grow.

At home, she enjoys spending time with Keelin, Nora and Harry and is a NY Mets and NY Jets fan!

After graduating, Chandler had a 7-year career as a professional baseball player before getting his M.B.A. from Texas Tech.
