Traditional Activities & Special Events

There’s a lot more to the camp experience beyond sports and daily activities! Specialized programming, evening activities, special events, trips, socials, and sibling visits round out the Winaukee program.

Traditional camp activities such as woodworking, arts & crafts, stem, photography and theater are additional programming options we offer at Winaukee too! Campers can choose these activities as electives and are very popular!

Evening activities include sports leagues, campfires, skits, talent shows and other traditional camp activities. Special events such as carnival, bowling, luau, s’mores parties, outdoor movies and lake excursions add variety to our days and nights.

Off campus trips are memorable summer highlights. We have a weekly trip day and each grade is scheduled for age-appropriate out-of-camp excursions. These may include canoe trips on the lake, hiking adventures through the White Mountains, professional sports games, waterparks or aerial adventure parks.

Socials are held throughout the summer with our sister camps – Camp Robindel and Camp Wicosuta. The number and format of the socials vary by age group, and include beach parties, bbq’s and “sportials” – socials while playing sports. The focus is always on appropriate interaction and building friendships.

We do offer weekly sibling visits. These are scheduled for campers with sisters at Camp Robindel and Camp Wicosuta.

Winaukee has become a fabulous family tradition. As a former “son of Winaukee”, dad has great memories of his summers spent at camp. Just like dad, our three boys love their Winaukee summers and feel truly at home there. We love that they play sports, enjoy the lake, feel safe and secure, and make life long friends and memories.
