Waterskiing and Wakeboarding are two of the most popular activities at camp. All of our ski boats are driven by lifeguards with extensive waterski experience. Our boys love to get out on the water and hone their skills behind the boat. Learning to stand up on the board, cross the wake and learn more advanced elements as they progress through our program. Nothing beats flying behind the boat on an early summer morning when the lake is like glass in our Winaukee Bay!
Kneeboarding is an excellent way for younger campers or those with less experience behind a boat to get comfortable. Boys learn what it feels like to be pulled behind a boat at a limited speed. This is a perfect ‘access sport’ to some of the more complex watersports.
Wakesurfing is a new sport that allows a camper to ‘surf’ the wake of the ski boat. Our Malibu boat sits lower in the water to create a bigger wake and the camper does not use a rope, but rather uses the momentum of the wake to follow the boat!
All campers and staff are required to wear a Personal Flotation Device when on the motor boat or participating in any of these activities.
Sailing is one of the most popular activities at the waterfront. Our campers learn the basics of sailing on our fleet of Sunfish sail boats and can practice in shallow water always supervised by our team of lifeguards.
Our fleet of canoes are used non-stop at Winaukee with qualified instructors guiding our campers every step of the way.
We offer every camper an introduction to kayaking on our waterfront. We have installed a flat water practice and slalom race course where campers enjoy high quality instruction in paddling and boat handling skills.
Paddleboarding is extremely popular at Winaukee and is a great challenge in strength and balance! Starting in the shallow water, campers are introduced to the basics of paddleboarding and quickly become comfortable traversing around the Island campus!
We offer both swim instruction and recreational swim on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee.
Our swim program is supervised by Red Cross Certified Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors. Boys on our Mainland partake in our Learn to Swim Program. This means that they complete swim instruction as often as their swim level requires so that all of our boys can feel competent and confident on the water.
Recreational swim is a great way to cool off, have fun and relax on a warm summer day!
Inflatables, Beach Volleyball, Fishing AND PLAY are important elements to how your son experiences our waterfront. With two fishing boats and all the required equipment, every camper will be able to learn to fish on the lake!
